The Electron Microscope Laboratory at UC Berkeley is a core EM facility with over 200 yearly users. This lab was one of the sites that evaluated the Rio^® 9 CMOS camera (3k x 3k pixel resolution), which was installed on the side port of an FEI T20 microscope. During this three-month evaluation period, a wide variety of biological specimens (with high and low contrast) were imaged by the staff and newly trained users of the facility. The performance, image quality, and ease of use of the camera were compared to the CCD cameras previously used. This webinar will summarize findings of such comparison by presenting data collected from a diverse set of biological specimens in the UC Berkeley Electron Microscope Laboratory.
