CEMS National Conference on Electron Microscopy

The 2026 National Conference on Electron Microscopy will be held from October 16 to 20, 2026, at the Baijin Hanjue Hotel in Nanjing, China.

This year's conference will hold special significance as it commemorates the 120th anniversary of the birth of Professor Qian Linzhao (1906 - 1999), a pioneering physicist and one of the founding figures of electron microscopy in China. Through his lifelong contributions to scientific research, education, and the advancement of microscopy, Professor Qian established a lasting foundation for the development of electron microscopy in the country.

Under the theme, "Dislocations beneath the microscope weave the fabric of the microscopic world; a century of legacy continues the legend of the stars" – Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Professor Qian Linzhao's Birth", the conference will celebrate his enduring legacy while bringing together researchers and practitioners to share the latest advances in electron microscopy, foster collaboration, and inspire future innovation in the field.
